BIO

KIERAN SHEA’s fiction has appeared in dozens of venues including Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine, Thuglit, Dogmatika, Word Riot, Plots with Guns, Beat to a Pulp, Crimefactory, and Needle: A Magazine of Noir ...as well as in some beefy-looking anthologies most of which will make you question the tether of his shiny, red balloon. To his self-deprecating astonishment he's also been nominated for the Story South’s Million Writers Award twice without sending the judges so much as a thank you note. He co-edited the satiric transgressive fiction collection D*CKED: DARK FICTION INSPIRED BY DICK CHENEY and his debut novel KOKO TAKES A HOLIDAY is out now from Titan Books. Kieran divides his time between 38°58′22.6″N- 76°30′4.17″W and 39.2775° N, 74.5750° W.

Gotham-a-Go-Go: N@B4.0

Just a little reminder. Noir @ the Bar-NYC...this weekend 5/26 6-9PM at Shade, down in the West Village. This is going to be great. Feeling a bit intimidated by the likes of Robinson, Hart, Dr. Bazell, etc. ....Founder of the cult event and D*cked co-conspirator--Jed Ayres--will be there and the word on the street is it's his first time in Manhattan. Oh, boy.  Buckle up, Jed...and be sure you keep cab fare in your shoe. Not sure what I'm going to read just yet, I mean, this is a "crime fiction" reading and I've pitched camp in the science/speculative fiction arena with KOKO TAKES A HOLIDAY. Torn between a pirate yarn and a high body count piece--both end with unsettling feelings for their protagonists--w/c is one of the hallmarks of true noir.

Be there if you can. Onward.
