To his self-deprecating astonishment he's also been nominated for the Story South’s Million Writers Award twice without sending the judges so much as a thank you note. He co-edited the satiric transgressive fiction collection D*CKED: DARK FICTION INSPIRED BY DICK CHENEY and his debut novel KOKO TAKES A HOLIDAY is out now from Titan Books. Kieran divides his time between 38°58′22.6″N- 76°30′4.17″W and 39.2775° N, 74.5750° W.

Don't Meet Me in St. Louis

Yesterday I learned that due to a scheduling conflict I will not be able to attend Bouchercon this year. Bummed but not completely devastated, I mean, I'm sure it's going to be amazing, etc. (probably miss an epic Noir @ the Bar)...but it's just not in the cards. Maybe a break is good. Yeah, keep telling yourself that one...plus it's not like this dork here has anything to promote. Guess I'll just have to hang fire until Cleveland and Noir Con in 2012. There's a restaurant in Cleveland I've always wanted to try and the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame is a must. Plus it's drivable. Maybe I'll bring my travel board, chase the knee-high...
