To his self-deprecating astonishment he's also been nominated for the Story South’s Million Writers Award twice without sending the judges so much as a thank you note. He co-edited the satiric transgressive fiction collection D*CKED: DARK FICTION INSPIRED BY DICK CHENEY and his debut novel KOKO TAKES A HOLIDAY is out now from Titan Books. Saturday 100; Beat to a Pulp
You two-faced liar. Wait. Wait a second. I can explain. Yes, I said I was discontinuing stories featuring my hapless south Jersey P.I. character Charlie Byrne. But David Cranmer ask me for this Charlie story way back in June. No joke--June, I was on vacation I think. Anyway, he said he wanted a traditional fight story for BTAP because after all this time no one had submitted a pulp piece featuring the classic fighter setting. Sure, I updated it a bit for the MMA, but wouldn't you? I think this is four for me at the BTAP webzine, not sure exactly. Further explanation can be found here, and by the way, David? I'm proud to be 100.
