I love this comic. Mini-westerns with familiar and unfamiliar plot lines of vengeance and wrath. Good ol' Jonah Hex. But Malkovich again as the heavy? Yawn. He must be making up for lost scratch from his dance with Bernie Madoff. Take a close listen to one of the opening lines of Malkovich's in the trailer...I'm sure he was thinking of Bernie when he said it. Megan Fox looks hopelessly clichéd and fetching, but no shock there. Lance Reddick as the weapons expert? What? Was Morgan Freeman not available? *SIGH* I'm thinking over-produced and Wild, Wild West suckful....why can't Hollywood get it right? The storyboards are right there!
I know it's trivial, but I'm trying to keep it light before the news of the world overwhelms me. This oil screw-up in the Gulf just crushes. Oh, and today we learn there was a pattern of rollback on environmental checks during the Bush 2.0? Really? Give me a break. Tell me something I DON'T already know. Like, gee, maybe the subprime mortgage meltdown can be traced to financial deregulation launched by Reagan? What's next? Cigarettes cause cancer? No...keep me distracted with more bad movies. Throw out wedge issues like race and the war on drugs and boogeymen who threaten our very way of life...ugh. Scratch a little on the BP history and you'll find that all this? This is some bad karma coming back in a big, ugly way.
