He co-edited the satiric transgressive fiction collection D*CKED: DARK FICTION INSPIRED BY DICK CHENEY and his debut novel KOKO TAKES A HOLIDAY is out now from Titan Books. The Big Con

Hoaxes and gambits to embarrass the gullible, the off guard, the naive. April Fool's Day. Thinking, why isn't our election day April 1st? If ever there were a day that makes sense. But no. November is more practical, right? After all...the holidays will distract us, lull us into a sleepy winter stupor, we wake up in February scratching our heads and checking our tickets. Have an election in April before the summer kicks in (at least in this hemisphere) and by July you have riots in the streets. So today we celebrate the fool...a genuine hallmark of our shared humanity. Grim lips around the world (you know who you are) lighten up and have some fun. Long cons and short, greed and deception, spit and shine, and always even in its gentlest application...cruel. Smells like Mamet, tastes like crime. Or maybe like rubber chicken.
