Right coast Spring has sprung and ocean water temps have almost crested the 50 degree mark which for me is the cut off most days. Air temp and sea temp add up to a hundred? It's totally a go. Days of snow sessions long gone for this left searching kook, but I still have the five millimeter gear handy for those select days when the session jones takes over sanity. Getting old sucks. Difficult to locate the takers. I need a Jack London in my corner, somebody who's not afraid to face the chill. I need my pal Ray out in California. Ray knows the meaning of dawn patrol and H20 commitment. Fire up the brown GMC truck. Hit Gayle's for day-old pastry and coffee blacker than the devil's right eye. Pick a spot. Capitola. Jack's House. Sharks. Privates. Leave the Point to the crazies and the aggro nazis and Cowells to the banana armada. Find the groove. Need the groove. Gotta go. God, days like this I miss Santa Cruz. Take it away, Toots...I'm feelin' the life aquatic.
