To his self-deprecating astonishment he's also been nominated for the Story South’s Million Writers Award twice without sending the judges so much as a thank you note. He co-edited the satiric transgressive fiction collection D*CKED: DARK FICTION INSPIRED BY DICK CHENEY and his debut novel KOKO TAKES A HOLIDAY is out now from Titan Books. The Other Sport: Cup

Just so, you know, nobody forgets...there's this other set of races going on. Lackluster Daytona? Curling putting you to sleep? There's always the America's Cup. Sorry, but around here there's a bunch of people talking about it as, well, it's Annapolis. And here's the thing. If the Cup comes back to the US and San Francisco Bay? That puppy is never leaving, or so I'm told. SF Bay is one of the most difficult places to sail in the world. Currents, radical winds, Pacific suction, Great White sharks, surfers. Go BMW Oracle Racing. Kind of just rolls off the tongue, doesn't it? Hey, you scratched my anchor!
