KIERAN SHEA’s fiction has appeared in dozens of venues including Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine, Thuglit, Dogmatika, Word Riot, Plots with Guns, Thrilling Detective, Beat to a Pulp, Crimefactory, and Needle: A Magazine of Noir ...as well as in some beefy-looking crime fiction anthologies, most of which will make you question the tether of his shiny, red balloon. To his self-deprecating astonishment he's also been nominated for the Story South’s Million Writers Award twice without sending the judges so much as a thank you note. He co-edited the satiric transgressive fiction collection D*CKED: DARK FICTION INSPIRED BY DICK CHENEY. Represented by Stacia Decker of the Donald Maass Literary Agency, his debut novel KOKO TAKES A HOLIDAY is forthcoming from Titan Books next year. Kieran divides his time between 38°58′22.6″N- 76°30′4.17″W and 39.2775° N, 74.5750° W.
Wow, who knew Joe Pike would ever be portrayed as so, um, gangsta. From the smokin' hot LA Times Magazine crime fiction issue. As I once told Steve Weddle, in a fictitious world there's no one else I would call if I ever found myself in a jam. The baddest vegetarian on the planet. Great reading with the dynamic duo of Ms. Gran and Ms. Abbott in this issue too so get on it, crime junkies. If only other major newspapers would rock an issue like this. Are you listening, New York Times? Onward.
